1. CLAIM YOUR WEBPAGE!

This is such an easy, but very forgettable step. This is how you will find out what Pins are working, who is consuming your content, and even more. Make sure to go to your settings and claim that page!

2. ALWAYS THINK ABOUT KEYWORDS!

The more keywords, the better. Implementing keywords into board titles and descriptions is just as important as doing so your Pins. It takes 5 minutes to add a description to your board. Just do it!

3. CREATE MULTIPLE PINS FROM THE SAME ARTICLE

This takes us back to our keywords tip. Why only post a pin once and miss your mark on the keywords? Take different approaches and see what types of content work for your page!

4. DON’T IGNORE GROUP BOARDS

No matter what, group boards are consistently mentioned as one of the pillars of success on Pinterest. There are tons of benefits that come from group boards. You can brainstorm ideas, have a support group, and even more! However, just because we’re urging you to join group boards doesn't mean you should join as many as you can. It’s not helpful. All you need to do is join some quality boards and actively engage on them. Do not pin 100 times a day! You’ll get less reach.

5. MAKE CREATIVE THAT SPEAKS

Let’s face it, people don’t read titles; they look at titles. When you’re making your creative for Pinterest pins, focus on creating high quality content. Also, vertical videos are so important! The shorter the video the better, you want to keep the audience wanting more!

6. CLAIM YOUR INSTAGRAM ACCOUNT TO PINTEREST

This takes less than five minutes, but it is a crucial step. If you claim your Instagram account to your Pinterest, you will gain better access to Pinterest analytics and there’s a chance you’ll even capture more traffic!

7. ENGAGE!

How are you expecting to get Pinterest followers without engaging? It's the key to building your audience. There are plenty of different ways to engage on Pinterest. You can reach out to those who have liked your posts, offer thanks to those who have re-pinned your images, or direct message accounts.

8. FOLLOW COMPETITORS

Research your competitors' accounts. What's working? What's not? What can you learn? We’re not telling you to completely knock off someone’s idea, but if it’s working for them… why can’t it work for you?

9. DON’T JUST PIN YOUR OWN CONTENT

Let’s not be totally self-obsessed on our Pinterest pages. Never solely pin your own creations. You want to make sure to pin a variety of diverse yet brand-consistent content to draw in different target audiences. This is vital because you want to keep your page fresh and dynamic to keep your readers reading. You can even create a new board that covers your targeted consumer's interests. Anything is possible.

We’re still learning about Pinterest more and more as the days go on, but let us tell you - these tips have been a game-changer! So, try them yourself, let us know how they work for you, and follow us on Pinterest while you’re at it!
